There are a lot of things you have to consider when choosing the best facility for your storage needs. Two of the things right off the bat are which insurance or protection plan you are going to use to protect your items you are storing, and the other is which type of lock you are going to use on your unit. Insurance is a REQUIREMENT, we are not liable for anything you store in your unit.

Sometimes homeowner’s insurance covers self-storage facilities, but there are also times when it doesn’t. Either way, with our business, we have a protection plan. Our protection plans range from $1,000 of coverage for $11/month up to $10,000 for $42/month. There are also some options that offer Flood coverage. You want to make sure that you have the right coverage, not too much, and certainly not too little. Don’t leave the well-being of your items up to chance.

Another big decision is the type of lock that you decide to use. While any lock can be good for locking the unit, some locks are better than others. We do encourage you to use a disc lock. Here is why: The only way to get them off (aside from the keys given of course) is to cut them with an electric power grinder. We do have these locks available for purchase at all of our facilities.

Don’t skip or rush these important choices when making your storage. These choices might seem small, yet they can be detrimental.
